Our Santa Fe Studio specializes in designing culturally-responsive and socially-impactful places that reflect the unique context and heritage of the region. Our thirteen-person team brings decades of experience working in the area and a deep understanding of the cultural and ecological heritage of the North American West. We work with communities to design and develop housing, healthcare and educational facilities, community centers, and spaces that preserve and uplift public memory. Additionally, our studio is home to the Sustainable Native Communities Design Lab (SNCDL), which focuses on building wealth, opportunity, and resilience in Indian Country.

Responsibilities
Work under firm Principal to perform typical project management & coordination responsibilities
Management of multiple, concurrent projects with the ability to deliver them on time
Development of working drawings for bidding, permitting & construction for a variety of project types ranging from small to large scale projects.
Manage project teams including in-house staff and consultant teams
Coordinate the work of engineering & other consultants with architectural work; compile & manage drawing sets.

Design and Construction Project Manager
Praxis is a Design-Build Firm in Santa Fe, NM is seeking to hire a residential Design and Construction Project Manager.
The successful candidate will become part of a five-to-ten person management team. You will be managing residential design and construction projects helping our positive, engaged and trusting clientele make their Santa Fe dream come true. Your work and responsibility will begin with the bold strokes of Schematic Design and carry forward until every punchlist item is resolved and the client is thrilled. You will be expected to create highly specific design documents on two to three new homes simultaneously with managing client facing communication, cost, macro scheduling and procurement on one to two construction projects.
As a designer, you will be expected to demonstrate proficiency with Autocad and Sketchup in order to create architecture which can be delivered on time and with our clients’ budgets. You will need to be able to understand and work withing a system of standards which allows the entire Praxis team to work together, help each other, and stay oriented to every project in the office.
Daily construction tasks will include using MS Office tools, site visits, phone and texts to communicate expectations with Praxis construction superintendents and field crew, help with bidding, selection and communicate with subcontractors, ordering materials and fixtures as well as the preparation and presentation of construction contracts and change orders.
Balancing competing priorities to keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously is a must. Knowledge of Spanish would be a plus. This job must be performed in-person in Santa Fe working predominantly from our beautiful office space.
